About
This site contains the various productions of me, Carina Cederblad. You'll find bits and pieces from my moments of creativity, along with a few other things. This includes photography, traditional art such as paintings in acrylics, some water colors and pencil drawings, but also computer made art and photo manipulations. I also make jewelry, mostly in polymer clay, but also other materials such as shrink plastic.
There is also a bunch of writing on the site, most of it is poetry written in swedish. All the parts of this site that are in swedish are marked in the top menu with "swe", which is most of the things that can be found under "Words".
I also feature my lovely (at least I think so, not everyone does) doll collecion with dolls from Living dead dolls, Little apple dolls, Bleeding edge begoths and some other cuties.
Who?
Who is Carina and what should one know about her?
She was born in a small town located by the east coast of Sweden, and grew up together with - among other things - a parrot and a brother. Her brother taught her the value of comics and synth music. Since listening to jazz music and reading books was common activities in her family that also kind of stuck with her. Her love for books and reading makes it somewhat problematic for her to enter a library and then manage to leave without a big pile of books. Another peculiarity about her is an obsession with nail polish, she has quite the polish collection by now and it keeps getting bigger.
If you wish to discuss something with her, subjects including horror, weird movies, art, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, comics and web design are good choices. Subjects including synthesisers or sport is not.
Her taste in music ranges from the soft to the hard and heavy, including different types of jazz, electronic, medieval and folk music. She does not enjoy marches, techno or noise in any way. Or Laibach. Some favourites are Type O Negative, Apocalyptica, Rammstein, Tom Waits, Big fish, Tanzwut, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Nick Cave, Corvus Corax, In flames, Depeche mode, Ska-P and more.
Carina likes clothes and shops more of them than she actually needs. She wears things she likes, and finds the idea of liking something because someone else says its trendy quite silly. Her wardrobe is rather eclectic, with bits of gothic, hippie, retro, cute stuff, and lots of black and brown.
At the moment she lives together with her boyfriend in an apartment in Växjö, working at the Linneaus university and studying a bit.

All content on this page is mine - Carina Cederblad that is (unless otherwise noticed, there are a couple of collaborations) - words, images, graphics are ©Carina Cederblad. You may not put my stuff up on your homepage or an art community or whatever and pretend that it's your work. And you may definitely not make any money from my work.

My name (and preferably homepage adress) should be there. And please drop me a line in my guestbook or by email and ask me, politeness is appreciated.
Requirements
This site should be usable in all browsers, but doesn't necessarily look good in older versions. Netscape 4 or Internet Explorer 5 for example is not recommended. Internet Explorer 6 works, but a few details is a bit off, so upgrading to Explorer 7 is recommended. Mozilla, Firefox and Opera works just fine and it also works with handhelds.
